Easter this year was a vastly different occasion with Covid19 & because of it, personal isolation.

Mitchel Brison, the Crossing owner, was very aware that our Crossing Residents would have a very lonely non-traditional Easter, knowing that friends and family could not visit for a traditional Easter Sunday. The decision was made that we would deliver diner to every resident that accepted this amazing gesture.

This dinner delivery looked like a daunting task to undertake, there are more that 260 homes in The Crossing and 350 meals to deliver, but we were up to the task. All the delicious meals were prepared by Scott & Marilyn at Cocoa Pesto and Marilyn helped The Crossing crew with the delivery. Marilyn provided proper equipment to keep the meals hot. Our residents were so delighted to have this “yummy” meal, as many said they were not cooking this year because they could not have guests for dinner

Safe deliver was our top priority & we all socially distanced during delivery. Every delivery was left by the front door & the doorbell ringing, indicated meal delivery. We stepped back a safe distance to wish everyone a very happy Easter. Everyone came to the door with a smile. This was a heart-warming adventure for The Crossing crew.

We were overwhelmed with the many cards, letters and calls from our lovely residents.

Such a lovely ending to an incredibly positive event.
